About

πŸ’™ Climbing Helvellyn for Ceri πŸ’™

16th May 2026 | 12 km via Striding Edge

On 16th May 2026, we will be taking on a 12 km mountain hike, climbing Helvellyn via the famous Striding Edge, tackling two Wainwright mountains in one day β€” all to raise money for MWL NHS Charity.

We are doing this in honour of our incredible friend Ceri, who is currently facing cancer with extraordinary strength, courage, and resilience. She truly is one of the strongest people we know, and she inspires us every single day ❀️

⛰️ The Challenge

Helvellyn is the third-highest mountain in England, standing at 950 metres (3,117 feet)

Our route is approximately 12 km, involving steep climbs, rocky terrain, and significant ascent

We’ll be ascending via Striding Edge, one of the most iconic and exposed mountain ridges in the UK

Striding Edge is narrow, rocky, and requires scrambling, balance, and full concentration

Completing two Wainwright fells in one day makes this an even greater test of endurance

This demanding route reflects the determination, bravery, and resilience that Ceri shows every day in her cancer journey ❀️

πŸ’™ Why We’re Fundraising

All money raised will go to MWL NHS Charity, supporting the incredible work of our local NHS teams. They have helped Ceri so much in the last year!

Every pound donated goes directly towards:

Improving patient care

Enhancing facilities

Supporting patients and families when they need it most

The NHS has been there for Ceri β€” and for so many others β€” and this is our way of giving something back while showing our love and support.

πŸ™ How You Can Help

Any donation, big or small, will make a real difference and will mean the world to us. OR if you'd like come and get involved with us and raise some money!

If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page would be just as appreciated.
